Manta, Orlando's newest roller coaster, opened early to guests at seaworld on May 6, 2009. On hand were Director of Design and Engineering Brian Morrow, Director of Park Operations Tim Carrier, and Director of Aquariums Gary Violetta to share some insight into the design, construction, and operation of this new thrill ride. Aquatica, SeaWorld Orlando, the new water park, officially launched on 1 March 2008 similarly with a day of fun with water slides, a fast-paced lazy river, splash a lot of open areas, and even live Commerson's dolphins, which SeaWorld's killer whale mascot, Shamu.
