Fly-Drive the West Coast of the USA

Fly Drive is becoming more popular these days, with people more and more places to explore in a short time. A simple way to describe a fly-drive, is air ticket booking, when raised to some, a car at the airport and off you go. A stay at the hotel on the road, because you do not for a whole week or two non-drive-stop!

There are many different types of fly-drives. You can in a city and travel to other cities that are close together or stay, you can start at aCity and at another end. This would be particularly good if you plan to go to the U.S., how many other cities can be found on your vacation to see, rather than stay in one.

A really wonderful Fly & Drive, the West Coast of the USA. Go to places from San Diego, California and end in Portland, Oregon. Before you start, I suggest reading guides on the different areas within this trip and got hold of some maps and studying them to find the best routes to take. TheGuide below is a rough guide to help you get the most out of your study trip, a few!

Start in San Diego, take the car and off you go! I recommend you watch the sunset over the city there are not too many huge skyscrapers, but just enough to give a stunning outlook. There are many places to stay here, that's where your guide will be useful because they give information about the different kinds of places, from budget to luxury stay. Some of the attractions in San Diego are theVariety of museums including the San Diego Museum of Art, The Natural History Museum and the Columbia area, which has a large number of historical ships exhibits. There's also SeaWorld, Legoland and San Diego Zoo to go and visit.

The next stop is a wonderful 2 to 3 hours drive along the coast on the Freeway No. 5 in Los Angeles. Before going into the city if you want to relax at the Long Beach, then there are some beautiful stretches of beaches along this strip. This is a must-see city. Youare determined to a few days here, as it so much to spend, too. Go to Disneyland and Universal Studios fueled for a family park packed with fun. Or you can go to Beverly Hills and Hollywood Boulevard and see the stars filled ways to look at the Kodak Theater where the Oscars are held famous and treat yourself to luxury shopping. Just make sure that enough space in your suitcase for your next destination!

First, we are up a little detour to the coast, 4 to 5 hours in fact,to Las Vegas, Nevada. Now you will have the states, California to Nevada in the cross so that all your documents in your car rental, license, insurance, and if you do not get tested. It is also advisable to have your passport handy. Now Las Vegas is a sight to see in themselves. The beautiful city lights at night are something to see. Also wine and dine in fine restaurants and stay in a very posh hotels like the Bellagio or Ceaser's Palace. Enjoy some of thethe many stage shows like the Blue Man Group, or you can get an opportunity to see performances by the Pussycat Dolls. Las Vegas is a beautiful city and you can even go to the suburbs and see the Hoover Dam.

Once your ready, Vegas, head up Route 95 exit for approximately 2 to 3 hours, again, back across the border into sunny California, and you will find yourself in Death Valley National Park. Here you can see some hiking and trekking. Be warned, it can really take so many cracksWater with you! You can also camp in some of the campsites can and enjoy some inspiring views! It's definitely worth staying overnight if you can hack into the heat.

The next target is around 5 and a half hour away in a beautiful city called Fresno. There are some wonderful things to do. If one country in the season then Fresno Blossom Trail, enjoy some of the most beautiful flowering peaches, nectarines, plums, oranges houses and almond trees in full bloom. Is also a mustThe Forestiere Underground Gardens, which was built over 40 years are mind boggling and has some trees that grow underground. There is also a selection of hotels to stay, after 5 hours I'm going think you'll need it!

Now we are going back to his path to the coast to San Jose. It should be about 3 hours or so. In San Jose, there are many parks to relax and drink a coffee and there are many trails to enjoy around the city. You need to visit St. Joseph's Cathedral Basilica of thethe oldest parish in California and Raging Waters, the largest water park in Northern California with 23 acres and millions of gallons of water.

Now, a nice short drive to San Francisco, you should allow it in less than an hour traffic, and there are many things to do. Play a round of golf, if you are on your trip with the guys then off in the River Rock Casino or see Fishermans Bay and go to the aquarium. A must: the Golden Gate Bridge and a tour of the Jelly BeanFactory! There are many other attractions in San Francisco to see, but the ones I'll go see now, it is part of the fun of a fly-drive holiday.

Press the streets again for an hour or 2 to Sacramento, the capital of California. There are many things to see and do in Sacramento, some of them in eating and drinking in some fabulous restaurants, visit the many galleries and museums, or just visiting the city. A must is the Sundial Bridge at Turtle Bay, which is aSundial, but only 100% accurate on the summer solstice on 21 June or 22nd. Also Turtle Bay Exploration Park, which has 300 acres of gardens.

Another 2 hours straight up, past the border to Oregon, you stop in the city of Medford. Here, it's time to relax with Alba Park, the oldest and also head to Vogel Plaza in Medford, to see if you catch one of the many events hosted here.

On the road again, you'll go for another 3 hours or so until you reach the townby Eugene. It is host to a number of cultural organizations, so, you have many different shows that you enjoy here. Of dance, concerts in the opera is it fair for all. Here you will find in a position to learn some outdoor enthusiasts as well as to know!

Let's go again! We are closer to our goal. Drive for just over an hour to Salem. Bush's Pasture Park, a 90.5-acre urban public park and botanical garden south of downtown, or the Enchanted Forest is located,A land of fairy tales, where you encounter medieval castles, down wooden sidewalks in the wild, wild west, or perhaps into a ghost town in the Haunted Mansion. It is small, and amusement rides for children and adults with an alpine coaster, bumper cars, trains and much more. In one of the many restaurants, water is a dream to show, with colorful lights bouncing off flows of water. Next door is another attraction, Thrillville.

It is only an hour to Portland, which is full ofbeautiful parks and open spaces. Visit Mt Tabor park on an extinct volcano, Forest Park, the largest game park span over 5000 acres, and Mill End Park, which is the smallest park at 2 m in diameter. Besides this, Portland has many cultural attractions. Visit the Portland Art Museum and the Museum of Science and History. Also go and see the opera or ballet.

Finally, a wonderful 3 hours drive to Seattle and you've reached your destination. Here is theBirthplace of grunge music mostly from the famous Nirvana and Pearl Jam, also from the heavy coffee drinkers, Starbucks was born. Seattle is a regional destination for the Performing Arts. So it is worthwhile on 5th Avenue to enjoy some of the musicals. Go and see the statue of Jimi Hendrix! Here you can put your head down to rest, before finally flying home from such a wonderful fly drive the entire West Coast.

I recommend that you can spend a few days in each city, if you like, you can geteverything and as much as you can see, if not, then you will be around 7 to 10 days a few hours in every city and in a few cities over night.

It is also a good idea, is more than one driver so you can alternate between all the cities. In this way, a person does not drive the whole way.

Total distance: 1933 miles (3111 km)
Total Non-Stop Driving Distance: 1 days 9 hours.

I advise you to plan your trip carefully, ensure that you have enough steps for the recovery,Food and gasoline (which is very important, otherwise you have no access, where!), And plan a night to be advanced. Also, as I said before, learning the routes! Make sure that you know exactly where you go, for every petrol station and all the familiar lines of border crossing points.

Auto Europe offers a large rental car service to drive the United States, and let the pick up your car from one place and sell it to another.
