In Part 1, you learned about Google Trends and how the interests of vacation homes and holiday travelers research. We have the tools to compare different types of trips and to determine their relative popularity and seasonal trends over several years.
In Part 2 we will analyze, looking for different types of destinations such as parks, beaches, museums and golf courses. Remember, our research assumes that give Google's search behavior. The information that we discover will help us toto understand the interests of travelers around the world.

To start finding the answer, go to Google Trends (see address at the end of this article) and send your search: "National Park, State Park, County Park, Regional Park" (with the comma, but without the quotes). When the page loads, you will see a line chart of search terms over many years. The relative height of the rows show that the national and state parkspopular than county and regional parks. The peaks and troughs of the lines show that the interest is in season, with interest highest in June and July (ie during the summer in the northern hemisphere) and lowest in December.
The lower half of the page shows the regions and cities, which emerged in the research. For example, the interest in the national parks in South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and the United States high.
Now let's look at search results for other target species. Since the y-axison the graph is relative, we will "use the National Park" as a constant in the comparisons. Golf courses and golf clubs have similar popularity, andseasonal trends (by strong peaks in July) in the national parks. To see for yourself, search for "National park, golf course, golf club".
Other issues are much more popular than national parks, such as in this search: "National Park, beach, mountain, museum". Beaches offer a wide selection of seasonal interest, with a peak in July and the lowest interest rates in December, although beaches are more popular than any other target type. The seasonal trend of the mountains and museums, is mostly flat,except the mountains have a broad peak from December to February (ski season?) and museums have to break a sharp point (at the end of the December school?).
Looking deeper into the seasonal popularity of beaches, we can see, it depends on the distance to the beach and toward the equator. For example, where the summers are hot and winters are cold, tend to be more popular beaches in the summer and in August the U.S. or Australia in December. Where the temperatures are constant (as in Hawaii),Beaches remain popular all year round. Try it yourself: "Sydney beach, beach Mexico, Hawaii, beach, beach Texas, France beach".
